EWB Finland has new project in Zambia
EWB- Finland and with Live Clean Initiative signed agreement to build a product called called E-FLUSH. Live Clean Initiatives of Lusaka district council in Zambia, is an organization focused on making Communities, cities and the Environment sustainable.
E-FLUSH meaning Environmentally Friendly Urban Sanitation and Hygiene, which entails building Toilets and showers from Cargo Containers of eventually making all parts using the plastic generated by the communities the E- FLUSH will be set up. The waste from the Toilets is pushed into water recycling Containers were all the water is recycled back into the showers and toilets, Bio gas packaged for resale, whereas the solid waste is taken to a bio Fertilizer gas. The last bit of the system is the rain water harvesting which will then become a source for good fresh water for drinking and cooking for the residents.
EWB Finland partnered up with Live Clean Initiative to co-create, support, train and capacity development in E-FLUSH project phase by phase with other project partners.
The project agreement has been signed in March, 2017 and is scheduled to be completed in February, 2019.
