Eco car of the year
The Finnish NGO TEP (Technology for Life) published the results of its first ever Eco car of the year in Finland 2015 comparison. The overall winner, and first in the Small cars category, was SEAT Mii Ecofuel (pictured above). Mid-sized and Large cars categories were topped by Škoda Octavia G-Tec and Volkswagen Caddy Maxi, respectively. In the Other cars category, Tesla Model S was ranked first.
The eco car criteria was developed by TEP. The comparison included passenger cars that are powered by 100% clean energy, i.e. electricity, hydrogen or methane. At the moment, there are 46 such cars in the Finnish market.
More information and a detailed report (in Finnish) is available from the TEP website. There also is a map of all renewable fuel supply stations in Finland (part pictured above).
